Symptoms of both mania and depression occurring at the same time
Rapid or extreme changes in mood, energy, or activity levels
Hallucinations or delusions during a manic or depressive episode
Engaging in risky behaviors such as substance abuse, overspending, or sexual promiscuity during a manic episode
